ABOUT THE EVENT

Two days of herbal medicine workshops, self-care techniques, plant and mushroom walks, hands-on medicine making, permaculture/farming workshops, children's activities, yoga, music, dancing, sound healing, herbal vendors, community building, and a celebration of the plants!

Free camping for all! Potluck lunches are offered on both days, and an optional dinner is available Saturday evening at an additional cost.

The first day of the event will emphasize the tending, growing, harvesting, and transforming of our medicinal plants. You will be invited to participate in medicine-making workshops, hands-on farming classes, herb walks, and much more to guide you and give you confidence in making your own plant medicines at home.

The second day will lean deeper into the different applications of plant medicine. You will be offered presentations on specific health topics, an expert panel on the psychedelic renaissance, workshops on first aid and home care, as well as advanced classes for practitioners.

The weekend will be enriched by festivities, musical performances, yoga, and sound healing classes as well as many opportunities to learn and connect.

You are welcome to camp over and bring food to contribute to a large lunch potluck!
Join us and experience the beauty and healing power of the plants.

LOCATION

Gaspereau Mountain Herb Farm & Botanical Sanctuary
Only 10 minutes from Wolfville, NS. (Directions)

At an altitude of 650 ft., the Gaspereau Mountain Herb Farm and Botanical Sanctuary is nestled at the top of the northernmost range of the Appalachian Mountains. Gaspereau Mountain overlooks the agriculturally fertile region of Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley. These ancient granite barrens and uplands have been inhabited for approximately 14,000 years by the Mi’kmaq Peoples, whose influence is regaining strength. The farm is 10 minutes directly up the mountain from the Bay of Fundy, known for the highest tides in the world, whose dramatic moisture and winds shape our daily lives as well as those of the forests and fields.

Spanning 25 acres, and surrounded by over 3000 acres of Acadian forest, our farm includes teaching gardens, food gardens, a large greenhouse, production fields, forest, and fruit and nut orchards. We have identified 40 or more medicinal plants here, and by applying permaculture and biodynamic practices, we have planted close to 50 more species of herbs and trees.
