2022 Meals + Programming

MEAL INFORMATION

For food at this year's "Medicine of the People - A Herbal Celebration,'' we will have a potluck lunch on both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday evening's meal will be prepared by our Celebrity Chef, Justin Andrews from Inner Light Kitchen at a cost of $15, for those who wish to partake. Sunday breakfast will be by free-will donation for those who stay overnight. Please bring your own plates, drinking water cups, utensils, coolers, etc.

Please let us know ASAP via email if you are interested in Saturday's dinner so we can plan accordingly. 

Coffee, tea, and water will be included in all weekend ticket prices. 

Come camp out for free either Friday, Saturday or Sunday night and dance, do yoga and be part of our evening Sound Healing event!!

DEVON KOELLER

Yoga Practice

We will be enjoying an all-level Vinyasa flow, accessible to all bodies, with a thematic focus on rich “Late Summer” seasonal energy, the process of ripening, earthing, and just feeling great in our bodies! Please bring your own mat, & any props that help bring the Earth up to you for support (blocks, bolsters blankets).

ABOUT DEVON

Devon is an RYT200 yogi, fiber artist, & owner-operator of Hedgerow Vineyards, in Kespukwik (Annapolis Valley). A 200-RYT, she received her teaching certifications at Yandara Yoga Institute, where she continues to pursue her studies toward RYT500. Devon offers yoga retreats, a variety of classes at Yogalife in Wolfville, & various programming in cooperation with the Town of Wolfville, Acadia University, & various youth groups in the Valley. Devon’s retreats & classes reflect her enthusiasm for meditation, breath work, & a special interest in nature attunement, seasonality, elements, chakras, & energy flow. With a passion for all things botanical, her personal practice includes building meaningful relationships with plants naturally resident on the land she farms, & learning about the foods & medicines they offer.

Sound immersion is a deep internal sensory journey. Where you are lying down and led in a guided meditation with breathing to relax and connect you with your inner self. Relax your body and heart to the powerful sounds of Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, and bells, and be enchanted by sweet chimes.

ABOUT CHANDRA

Chandra Lockhart has dived deep into experiencing and learning about the varied facets of Sound healing for many years. Taking her first sound healing course in 2009. For many years she hosted and facilitated weekly toning nights. Helping people use their voices for healing and empowerment. Her crystal bowls are a fairly new foray, yet they feel like old friends. Chandra loves to hold space and bring the benefit of her wonderful assortment of sound healing instruments to curious people. She is thrilled to be a part of Medicine of the People.

ABOUT JONT

A natural-born poet with a guitar, Jont has spent his life connecting with the hearts of those around him through his songs. He is looking forward to doing exactly that on the Saturday night of this year's Medicine of The People. Long-time recording collaborator Robert Sherwood is coming from Massachusetts to accompany Jont on piano for an intimate, uplifting acoustic show.

ABOUT NIC

Nic is a house music DJ and EDM producer from Halifax NS. She's performed on festival and club stages from Halifax to Vancouver, Ibiza Spain, Miami Florida, Isla Mujeres Mexico.

Nic's shows have a trademark cinematic house music vibe with lots of throwback remixes and heart-pounding bass.
